Dinghy Courses

DINGHY PROGRAM
“Learn to Sail and Race a Dinghy ”
This program has been developed to provide a safe introduction to dinghy sailing for teenagers and adults. It starts with the fundamental skills of sailing for complete beginners and progresses through the levels teaching more advanced skills and techniques. The goal of the 4 level program is to give you the experience and education to compete in the club’s weekly racing or enjoy being out on the water without the need of an instructor.

Dinghy Courses
There are 4 progressive levels within the Dinghy Program.

Once you have completed level 2 you have the option of joining the Pacer Green Fleet, a weekly training group designed to further advance your skills on a consistent basis until you are ready to transition into one of our club fleets and start club racing. It is common for students to join the Green Fleet and then complete level 3 if they want to do additional training in a consolidated time frame or learn more racing specific skills. South of Perth Yacht Club uses the Pacer dinghy to run the courses.
