MARINE RADIO OPERATORS CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY

Operators of marine radios on vessels and at maritime coast stations, other than those operating solely on 27 MHz frequencies, are required to hold a relevant Australian Marine Radio Operator's Certificate of Proficiency or an equivalent overseas qualification.

This course meets the criteria of the Radiocommunications Act and International Telecommunications Union as translated by the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

The course comprises four training sessions of two and a quarter hours and an assessment taking approximately 1.5 hours on Monday nights.
